CCTT / Manulife Financial Scholarship
Two $1,000 scholarships are sponsored annually by Manulife Financial for the children of current members of any of the 10 provincial technical organizations, including ASET. The Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists (CCTT) in Ottawa administers these scholarships.
In Alberta, applicants must be the child of an ASET member in good standing and must be enrolled in a full-time applied science, engineering or information technology program that will lead to eventual certification by ASET as a technician or technologist.
To apply, students must send a written request to the CCTT office attaching an official grade 12 transcript [see Alberta Education], plus proof of registration in a full-time eligible program. As well, a letter from ASET attesting to his/her parent's status as an ASET member in good standing is required. Contact the ASET office to request this letter.
Deadline for applications to be received by CCTT is October 1 of each year.
