Effective January 1, 2010.
Note: Application fees and annual dues are two separate items. Application fees are one-time processing fees; annual dues are paid each year to maintain membership status.
Annual Member Dues
NOTE: Annual membership dues are INCOME TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
Annual dues in the first year of membership are pro-rated and will be invoiced at the time of membership approval.
- Student: FREE
- T.T.: $110.
- Student-Status T.T.: $70.
- Associate Technician/Technologist: $170.
- C.Tech. or C.E.T.: $250.
- Student-Status C.E.T.: $70.
- Non-resident C.E.T.: $210.
- Retired C.E.T.: $75.
- R.E.T.: $275.
- Non-resident R.E.T.: $220.
- Retired R.E.T.: $85.
- P.Tech.(Eng.): $300.
Application Fees
First-time ASET members
and Recertification (one-time ASET members returning)
- Student currently attending an accredited program: FREE
- Technician/Technologist-in-Training (T.T.): $75.
- Associate Technician/Technologist: $160.
- Certified member (C.Tech./C.E.T.): $160.
- Licensed member (P.Tech.(Eng.)): $225.
- Transfer application from another Canadian Provincial Association: $55.
Reclassification
ASET members changing membership level
- Student to T.T.:
- FREE and automatic at end of program
- Complimentary T.T. dues for remainder of calendar year
- Regular T.T. dues at beginning of following year
- T.T. to C.Tech. or C.E.T.: $100. +exam (below)
- Associate to C.Tech. or C.E.T.: $100. +exam (below)
- Dual certification: $125.
(separate certification in more than one discipline)
- C.Tech. to C.E.T.: $100.
Exam Fees
- Professional Practice Exam (PPE): $50.
- re-write: $25.
- no-show: $25.
- study guide: $25.
Application Fee Refunds: Full application refunds will not be issued once a file has been assessed. The Registrar may approve partial refunds for files that have not been fully assessed.
ASET is a G.S.T. non-registrant. No G.S.T. is charged.
