Mentoring Program
Mentoring is an exclusive one-on-one relationship, completely confidential, and independent of line management relationships, where a more established professional (the Mentor) can share their experiences and knowledge in order to help develop the career of a less experienced professional (the Mentee). Mentoring is a professional activity, a trusted relationship, and a meaningful commitment.
ASET is currently developing two mentoring programs:
- A short-term “as-needed” advice/mentoring connection between a less experienced member and a more senior member to address a specific question/concern. It is expected that most of these questions would be of a technical nature. These connections would be facilitated through the Coordinator, Special Programs, ASET.
- A longer-term, relationship-building type of mentoring. This type of mentoring is an exclusive one-on-one relationship, completely confidential, and independent of line management relationships, where a more established professional (the Mentor) can share their experiences and knowledge in order to help develop the career of a less experienced professional (the Mentee).
