ASET Awards
The 2024 ASET Awards recipients were announced at the 2024 ASET Annual General Meeting Awards Dinner on 19 April 2024. Stayed tuned to find out the winners of this year's awards. Do you know an individual, colleague, instructor or company that has made outstanding contributions to the profession through technical excellence, leadership, innovation and/or professionalism? Honour their distinction by nominating them for an ASET Award! Nominations open in January, and remain open until mid-February, so keep an eye out for ASET emails announcing when you can nominate.
Award Categories
ASET Technology Professional of the Year Award
The ASET Technology Professional of the Year Award recognizes one individual that demonstrates exemplary professionalism and leadership through impactful contributions to the profession. The actions of the award recipient support and assist in establishing the important role technologists and technicians serve in our community.
ASET Outstanding Educator Award
The ASET Outstanding Educator Award showcases an educator who demonstrates excellence in teaching, educational innovation, and commitment to the advancement of knowledge and technological studies.
ASET Award for Outstanding Corporate Partnership
This award is given to an organization for their leadership and commitment to supporting ASET initiatives through engagement and sponsorship, while further advocating and advancing the best interests of certified technology professionals in Alberta.
ASET Volunteer of the Year Award
The ASET Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes an individual whose dedication of time and service have assisted ASET and the organization’s ability to better serve and represent certified technology professionals across Alberta.
ASET Award for Excellence in Mentoring
The recipient of the ASET Award for Excellence in Mentoring demonstrates leadership by using their knowledge and experience to support new and emerging members as they work towards becoming successful technology professionals. In recognition of their outstanding performance and commitment to assisting and inspiring the next generation, an ASET mentor is awarded this honour each year.
ASET President’s Award
This award is given to an individual who has supported and guided the president during their incumbency.
ASET Women in Technology Award
The ASET Women in Technology Award recognizes a woman for her outstanding achievements as a technology professional. Recipients of this award represent strong leadership and dedication not only to the profession, but to empowering other women in technology as well.
